Alaçatı is at the western end of the Çeşme peninsula. From İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) the transfer takes the İzmir–Çeşme motorway (E881) almost the entire way and leaves it at the Alaçatı exit, so the journey is straightforward outside peak summer weekends.
The centre of Alaçatı has narrow stone streets that are closed to traffic in the evening in summer; many boutique hotels are reached on foot from the nearest drop-off point.
